This Learning Spaces Directory was created as a central resource for faculty, staff and students to easily find learning spaces that meet their needs. Over time, the directory will expand to include departmental spaces and provide a comprehensive University resource.
The Learning and Collaborative Environments team manages the centrally scheduled classrooms on Columbus campus, in partnership with the Classroom Readiness Committee. Our goal is to connect technology and space design to support best practices in teaching and improve the student experience. We support over 300 standard and active learning classrooms, study spaces, and creation studios.
- The Classrooms section of this site currently includes the centrally scheduled classroom pool rooms. Search by building and room number to find details for each room including features, specific teaching affordances of that space, along with photos, 360 tours and support team contact information. All pool classrooms are equipped with an instructor-facing camera and in-room microphone to assist with recording lectures or simulcasting a class in CarmenZoom.
- The Study Spaces section includes a variety of lounge, collaboration, group and individual spaces. The goal is to help students find spaces that fit their needs for collaboration, study, or a space to connect to an online class while on campus. This list will be expanding as we continue to inventory spaces across Columbus campus.
- The Digital Unions section includes the 4 Digital Union studio locations. As more departmental maker/creation spaces are identified this section will grow.
For colleges/departments that are interested in having their spaces included in this directory, please contact classroomhelp@osu.edu.
